Sant Martí fair was born in 2008
with the desire to recover the traditional fair
hat took place every November in Montblanc since 1281.
Since the Town hall recovered the celebration, the entire party revolves around food and drink. In this eighth edition of the main innovations is the name: Safrània, Sant Martí Fair of agrifood products from the Conca de Barberà.
The cultivation of saffron has been historically linked in Montblanc and the Conca de Barbera. It was cultivated in the area of Santa Coloma de Queralt, but also in Montblanc and near Poblet, and is currently recovering, giving projection to the territory. In addition, in November it is in full bloom.
Cómo siempre, esta feria apuesta por la calidad y la innovación, y se centra en el producto autóctono sin olvidar productos de calidad otros lugares del país. Tendrán protagonismo los vinos y cavas de la Conca de Barberà, habrá una muestra de quesos de Cataluña, y estarán representados los restaurantes y los productos agroalimentarios de la comarca.
As always, this fair bets for quality and innovation, and focuses on local products without forgetting quality products from elsewhere in the country. Wines and cavas from the Conca de Barbera will prominence, there will be cheese from Catalonia, and restaurants and agrifood products of the region will be represented .

Sant Francesc Ancient Church in Montblanc

During the Safrània, in the apse of the old church of Sant Francesc, a large kitchen and a giant screen will be installed. In the kitchen, dishes and talks are made in direct all the time.
